The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Preview

In my media class today, we were asked to re-create a scene from "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" to help improve our photography skills when taking different shots. The scene was a shoot out which contained a variety of different shots including a long shot, mid-long shot, close-up, mid-close-up shot and an establishing shot. We are currently in the process of editing our shots and so the video should be posted within a day or two. So for now enjoy these photos of us shooting the video.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Finale

Finally the editing has been completed, it was extremely fun not only to create our video but to edit it too. We decided that an old filter, with film grains would help with the western, old effect to the final complete video that we were hoping for. Some shots we processed in slow motion and others we thought it would be more effective to have it at a faster pace. Here is the video, enjoy.

The video was a bit of fun, used to help us understand different camera shots and not a serious video.

Mode Of Address - The way the magazine "Talks to the audience"

Imagined Communities - This refers to the phenomenom where people feel as as if they know are friends with or exist in the same community as people in the media they have never met.

We also touched on the subject of airbrushing which is where photos are digitally manipulated to distort reality. In the next few days or so i will go into further detail about airbrushing but for now please enjoy this video showing some of the effects of what it can do:
